"Ask the man who owns one"

This exquisitely restored 1929 Packard 645 with a dual cowl phaeton body by Dietrich was recently spotted by the author parked in Rolling Hills Estates California. Click on the photographs to enlarge and appreciate the quality of construction of a Packard from a bygone era, which led to the famed Packard sales slogan "Ask the man who owns one."

The car rides a 145 inch wheelbase chassis,
roughly the same as modern day extra cab pickup truck

The Packard's 385 cubic inch straight eight engine produces 105 HP with a remarkable 350 ft/lbs of torque
