K5 Blazer rock crawler
at SEMA 2019

That is not a full-size rock-crawling 1979 Chevrolet K5 Blazer,  it is the 1/10th scale Traxxas TRX-4 Blazer.

As the author photographed the Blazer at the 2019 SEMA show, it was being skillfully operated from 10 feet away by Traxxas employee Albert Ruffcon on a large rock crawling layout.

The level of detail of this large-scale radio-controlled Blazer is amazing, that starts with its construction with heavy-duty steel frame rails with molded cross members and floor pans. Powered by the Titan 21T 500 motor, the Blazer rides on portal axles that eliminate torque twist and provide one inch of additional ground clearance.

In addition to an adjustable wheelbase, the TRX-4 features oil-filled coil-over adjustable aluminum shock absorbers and the user can lock and unlock the front and rear differentials from the controller as well as select high- or low-gear range.

The 1/10 scale Blazer is list priced at $489.95 https://traxxas.com/products/landing/blazer
