Garage Italia Customs announces ground- breaking partnership with Pirelli Tires

Garage Italia Customs and Pirelli Tires have announced a unique project. Beginning in 2016, the clients of Garage Italia Customs will be the first drivers in the world who can choose to equip their automobiles with tailor-made colored-wall tires, exclusively created by Pirelli. They can forget black tires and be the proud owners of something more distinctive, a personalized signature to give their cars an additional touch of class.

Pirelli has always been a leader in the tire field worldwide, and is currently the only supplier of tires for Formula 1 racing, so Pirelli welcomed the idea of partnering with Garage Italia Customs Style Centre, Lapo Elkann’s creative shop in Milan Italy which specializes in tailor-made vehicle personalization.

Together the two companies have developed an exclusive new range of colored-wall tires which will help highlight the uniqueness of the Garage creations and its constant search for perfection and illimitable customization.

The whitewall Pirelli tires were presented for the first time at the Los Angeles Auto Show on the the Fiat 500e Stormtrooper created by Garage Italia Customs to celebrate the seventh episode of the Star Wars saga.

A green wall set of Pirelli tires have been installed on Lapo Elkann’s personal camouflaged Ferrari 458 Italia and a light blue wall set of Pirelli tires have been installed on Mr. Eklann’s blue Ferrari California to allow the  creative entrepreneur test the results on his own vehicles.

“I’m immensely proud to collaborate with such an excellence in this field. Pirelli is an Italian symbol worldwide when it comes to performance. Together we are bringing color in what is an exquisitely technological sector,” said Lapo Elkann.

Garage Italia Customs creates amazing
'Star Wars' themed Fiat 500 E

As the world awaits the release of the seventh installment in the Star Wars film franchise, “The Force Awakens,” on December 18, 2015, the craftsmen at Garage Italia Customs unveiled the Fiat 500 E Stormtrooper.  This unique vehicle, commissioned by Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles, is on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show until November 29.

Garage Italia Customs is the brainchild of Lapo Elkann, the New York-born Italian entrepreneur, style icon, and grandson on Giovanni Agnelli, the late chairman of Fiat Automobiles. Garage Italia Customs will match their customer’s favorite suit, dress, or any fashion accessory to any vehicle they desire.

Garage Italia Customs does not make performance modifications, rather the restyling of the vehicles using the techniques from the world of haute couture (high end one of a kind fashion). Just as a tailor made outfit follows the lines of the body harmoniously, Garage Italia Customs aims at making any vehicle unique.

So far, the craftsmen at Garage Italia Customs have customized more than seventy-five automobiles, motorcycles, sailboats, motorboats, and even airplanes.   Garage Italia Customs is based in the fashion capitol of Milan, Italy inside a vintage Streamline Moderne design AGIP gasoline station designed by famed Italian architect Mario Bacciocchi in 1952.

The two-toned black and white exterior is inspired by the armor of a First Order Stormtrooper Legion, with the windshield and side windows wrapped with 100% tinted film to bring out the immediately recognizable visor and helmet of a Stormtrooper. The Fiat badges have been replaced with First Order insignias and the same logo can be found on the black-painted wheels which are fitted with special edition Pirelli whitewall tires.

Garage Italia Customs designer Carlo Borromeo chose perforated black leather to trim the interior matched with white leather with Alcantra™ piping and contrasting stitching. The dashboard is painted white with the famous Star Wars logo on the passenger side. All the interior plastic is varnished black and white for a special lacquered effect, while the headliner and pillars are covered in white Alcantra™. The First Order insignia is hand-embroidered into the headrests of the seats, while the steering wheel is covered in black and white leather.
