Eldora Speedway’s 2016 schedule

The legendary Eldora Speedway located just north of Rossburg Ohio on State Route 118 has released its 26-race 2016 schedule. The season opens with the April 16th 63rd annual season opener and ends with the October 8th “Sprintacular.”  

The Craftsman® World of Outlaws sprint cars make three visits to the ½-mile high banked dirt oval known for years as the “Home of the Sprint” for a total of six races scheduled, including the $50,000 to win 33rd annual Kings Royal on Saturday night July 16th.

The AMSOIL® USAC (United States Auto Club) sprint cars are scheduled for three races on Tony Stewart’s track including the 35th annual 4 Crown Nationals on September 23 and 24. If a driver captures all four feature victories – USAC Silver Crown, USAC sprint car, USAC midget, and the World of Outlaws sprint car -   USAC will pay a $100,000 bonus.

The Arctic Cat® All Star Circuit of Champions sprint car series, also owned by Tony Stewart makes two visits to the “Big E” during 2016; on June 23 as part of Ohio Sprint Speedweek and at the season finale “Sprintacular”

For racing fans with families, it is worth noting that for all 2016 Eldora Speedway events, children twelve years of age and younger are admitted free.
